Michigan like other states has found it challenging to lower their unemployment rate. The automobile industry which at one time was the backbone of the state’s economy has suffered greatly leaving the state trying to bring employment and business back into the area. The state government is leading the charge to turn the economy around.

The state’s employment website, appropriately titled Keep Michigan Working, is a great starting point on your search for employment in the state. The listings on the page go from Jobs to Michigan Career in transition. The training section is particularly good because it will assist you in finding job training in your area.

Michigan Works Association

Michigan Works Association according to its website “was established in 1987 to foster high-quality employment and training programs serving employers and workers by providing support activities and a forum for information exchange for Michigan’s Workforce Development System.”

Do you want to work for the state of Michigan?

Like other states Michigan has an extensive website dedicated to matching employees to different state government departments. For more information go to their website.
