What is gout?
Gout is a form of arthritis that is very painful that occurs in men more than women. Gout is usually found in the base of the big toe. Gout forms when there is a build up of uric acid in the body. The buildup of uric acid is due to the kidney not getting rid of it and the gout sufferer eating food high in purines or drinking too much alcohol.
