Arthritis can be debilitating where ever it resides, whether it is in the hands, feet, shoulder or legs among other places it is difficult to deal with. Arthritis is caused by many things such as age, joint damage, weight, injury and heredity. The treatments vary from medication, physical therapy, pain management and even natural treatments have been used to ease the pain of arthritis.

One area that most folks don’t think about having arthritis is in the neck. But arthritis neck pain can be caused by 2 types of arthritis.

  1. cervical spondylitis or osteoarthritis (wear of tear of joints)
  2. rheumatoid arthritis (inflammation of joints)

Who gets this type of arthritis?

Anyone that works in an occupation that causes constant stress to the neck and it might also be heredity. Some professional athletes such as soccer players have been known to arthritis in the neck as well as professional dancers.
